NEW YORK DAY2

Skinny Crop.のAdamとSOHOで合流。今年の3月から弊社とあるプロジェクトを仕込んでおり、内容は今のところ言えませんが、今度10月後半に香港で最終打ち合わせをする予定です。

Lower East SideにあるREED SPACEに行ってきました。New YorkではFreshjiveを一番多く扱っているお店です。とてもかっこいいお店です。

カースト・アイアンという貴重な建築様式の建物がたくさん残されているソーホーに行ってきました。カースト・アイアンとは、19世紀中頃にイギリスから伝えられた建築技術で、溶解された鉄塊を鋳型に流し込み、建物の骨格や外観を構成する鉄の枠組みが特徴となっています。

Nolita地区やLower East SideでWKというアーティストのペイントがたくさんありました。AdamによるといまNew Yorkではもっとも熱いアーティストらしいです。

FUCT is releasing 2 T-shirts with Los Angeles Photographer, Shawn Mortensen, in conjunction with his new book, "Out of Mind". Shawn Mortensen is best known for his continuous work with London's I.D. Magazine.

The first shirt is a photo of a very young Snoop Dog, it was the very first time snoop was photographed for media use, as well as his up coming career as a rapper. The photo was shot in Long Beach.

The second is a photo Shawn shot of Biggie Smalls (Notorious B.I.G.)Shawn remembers the shoot as being very upbeat and fun. He said Biggie was cracking jokes the entire time, (hence the big smile on Biggie's face) This photo was shot at the Good Luck Bar in Los Angeles, California.

Both photo's were taken in 1991-92. (The back print reads MCMXC Photo Series, along with the artist name)

東京展

東京展、本日で終わりました。忙しい、そしてとても楽しい三日間でした。来ていただいた皆さん、本当にありがとうございました！

GOLDEN TIJUANA の奥瀬さんも来場してくれました。弊社が去年FUCTの代理店となって一番最初に喜んでくれた方です。そして弊社のスタッフ全員でFUCTがもっとも似合う方として崇拝しています。今後雑誌で奥瀬さんにモデル依頼をお願いしました。

THE MAD DOG CHRONICLES REVISITED

A good friend and major influence is turning the big 50 this month. Tony "Mad Dog" Alva. A few years back we toured a retrospective exhibit of his early history, including the photos of Wynn Miller and the early progressive Alva ads conceptualized by Eric Monson. There's 3 articles we just put up under the Propagandist on Freshjive site. We put out a book as well. I've found a few in the warehouse, and they'll be available again this week at our Reserve store in Los Angeles. He's having a birthday blowout at his store on Fairfax on Saturday September 22. You gotta roll.
